Rosemary KimBal, Zen Artist

Viennese Terrace at The Ritz-Carlton, Monday 2-4 PM, Tuesday 4-6 PMExperience the simplicity, elegance, and serenity of a 3,000-year-old art form—brush painting in the Asian manner—and discover a talent you may never have realized you possess. This workshop includes hands-on brush painting and a lesson in the principles and practice of Tai Chi to prepare you to create your masterpiece. You will receive the Four Treasures of Sumi-e—ink stone, ink stick, rice paper, and bamboo brush—in a beautiful gift box so you can continue to explore your new-found skill at home. All levels of ability are welcome with no previous experience necessary. Rosemary KimBal has taught brush painting in the Asian manner for more than 20 years.  Her work has been shown in museums and galleries throughout the U.S. and Canada, including New York's Ronin Gallery, where she recently represented Zen painting in America.  Samples of her art can be seen at www.dancingbrush.com.
