"Giant Brush at Dancing Brush"
REVIEW

Our January 22nd workshop has been a great success brining new faces in Giant Brush lovers' circle, as well as much loved familiar ones that we are always happy to see at our classes. We had a nice group of 11 with various levels of experience in brush painting (including first-timers) and had a great time together.

This workshop is always an opportunity to work with some awesome people.
Not only the Teacher, but the Participants bring so much to this event.
It is an opportunity to go Deeper into your well of Creativity. You know many ways already now, even more will be available to you as you learn new ways of accessing your inner powers of expression.

Our most recent workshop took place on January 2
2, 2011 from 10am to 4pm.

The participants experienced painting with a Giant brush and practicing Tai Chi on the lawn by the studio   - the visual and movement is integrated to put the students in a state of mind, when their creativity is tapped into and released, creating one-of-a-kind masterpieces.
"As your body experiences lyrical and authentic movement, so that you access and touch your most unique creative self, then with Brush in hand...think Giant Brush with two hands....Your Creation will be expressed in a visible way for you to enjoy." says Rosemary KimBal about her approach

We served lunch, so everyone coule stay together and share their stories.

Please email me of your interest in our future workshops:  dancingbrush@cox.net and we will put you on our mailing

Our 2009 Giant Brush Workshop - What it was like

On Saturday February 14th, 2009, Valentine's Day, 7 students treated themselves to unusual pairing of Brush Painting, Tai Chi and the Culinary Arts. Its been our first experiment to integrate the visual and movement with the senses of taste, smell and texture. The students immersed themselves into the Asian Arts as we brilliantly choreographed a day that included the exploration into Giant Brush Painting, Tai Chi and Vietnamese Culinary Arts.

Vietnamese/American chef, Jayne Nguyen Moulton, revealed the mysteries of the Culinary Art of soup known as "Pho". The Pho was accompanied by an exploration into the subtleties and nuances of Spring Rolls.
Luncheon turned out to be a banquet of their own creations.

Dancing Brush offers an unheard-of chance for you to try out the fabled giant brushes from China.

We recently received a number of giant brushes bearing the Dancing Brush name. Bristle diameters range up to 3 inches and lengths to 9 inches. The handles are up to 33 inches long. To help us evaluate and recommend these exotic brushes, you can try many of them in a private all-day workshop.

Enjoy the day in a relaxing and creative atmosphere at Rosemary KimBals Artists Studio in Cardiff by the Sea. 10 am to 4 pm, with lunch included. Plan to wear dark clothes, as sumi (ink) is permanent.

Space is limited due to the size of the brushes and the paper needed. Interest has been great prior to announcement but a few places remain. (Also, we can wait-list you in case someone cant make it.)

Dare to dare. Call 760-943-7496 or email Dancing Brush for details.
