From Leiria we
left and on our way further south by south east as we headed for Evora by way of Obidos.
now I hadnt particularly wanted to trip by Obidos, after all, seen one walled city
with a castle, seen em all. I was quite charmed by it after rosemarys insisting that
we drop in for lunch.

Cityscape
Parked the car, strolled through the old and not so old graveyard and into
the town via one of its gates. This little burg was the traditional gift of the King
to his Queen bride and a very nice gift indeed. Yes, it is tres cool vatos!

An Ancient Loggia
A loggia above the gate filled with azuelejos fine, greeted us. We
strolled from pillar to post, enjoying the postcard views of elemental Portuguese homes
awash in bougainvillea.

A Sidewalk Cafe
A castle fair we strode through and upon the citys ancient walls we
trod and espied new works. A new amphitheater of old stone to match the rest of the old
stone of which the city is built.

A New Amphitheater
Leaving as we came, first on foot and then by car, after stocking up on
victuals at the local mini mart, we did just that, we left, stage left...
