Iconoclast -  Someone who is opposed to, and attacks, current cherished beliefs and superstitions.

Thesaurus: heretic, skeptic; dissenter, nonconformist, radical, rebel, maverick.

Dinosaurs are a group of film based photographers that dominated the terrestrial ecosystem for most of photographic history. They have become virtually extinct with the advent of the digital revolution and are known only from their fossilized negatives and archival silver gelatin prints that are studied and excavated by paleontologists and  by discerning art collectors.

I now find myself in the position of an iconoclastic dinosaur. In my portraiture and figure studies I continue to use film in conflict with the current cherished belief that digital is king. I also continue to print in the traditional dark room creating silver gelatin prints on archival, double weight, fiber based papers.

To my mind Silver is still the King. In their depth and luminous quality Silver Gelatin Prints have no equal.

The King is dead!   Long Live the King!
