Beginning Darkroom Procedures Please follow these procedures when processing prints in the Beginning Darkroom. 1. DEVELOP print for 1 1/2 to 3 minutes with constant agitation. 2. STOP print for 30 seconds; constant agitation. 3. FIX print for 1 minute; constant agitation. 4. RINSE print thoroughly in water for at least 1 minute. 5. WASH print for 10 minutes in R.C. washer. 6. DRY prints in R.C. dryer ONLY!
NOTES: Always use tongs. Return the tongs to their original tray. Observe drain times. Do not carry-over chemicals from one tray to the next. Use a tray when inspecting your prints in room light. When sufficient prints are in water rinse tray start a WASH. Share this responsibility. Discard unwanted test prints. Dry prints in the R.C. Print Dryer ONLY! Do NOT use the archival dryer for R.C. prints. (They stick to the drum. Advanced students will be most upset with you).
