Research Paper or "Quote"  
(Assignment # 7)

Spend some time looking at images by a number of different photographers (library, book store, the MOPA bookstore especially). Write a 3 page research paper on the photographer of your choice. Paper should be typed and at college lever (spelling and grammar, as well as content, will be important)

OR:

If you prefer to shoot rather than write, analyze the style of a photographer of your choice. You will need to produce two images "in the style" or "quoting this photographer. Look at such things as subject matter, type of film (grainy or fine grained), camera angle, mood, lighting, print contrast, etc.

Either way, you will be sharing what you’ve learned with the class, so be prepared. Perhaps you will want some visual aids (a book, or photocopies at least ) to illustrate your points.

Feel free to choose another well known photographer if you wish, just be sure there is enough information available about them!
